April 23 Chase
Quick note to say that I'll be chasing with several others today into western OK/eastern TX panhandle. Our preliminary plan is a pre-noon departure heading west on I-40 to near the TX/OK border, and then go from there. Moisture is improved from Saturday, and the threat for supercells and tornadoes exists over a relatively broad northwest-southeast extent from CO possibly into southwest OK. Whether a cirrus canopy will clear in time, phase/timing of a mid level impulse (namely 700 mb in model progs) and modest mass convergence leads to below average confidence in target specifics and uncertainties regarding storm coverage.
Although we encountered some techno glitches on Saturday's chase, I should have live web cam imagery/positioning running today. I'll be N/A for Tuesday (unless near the OKC metro).
